Arlen Charles Connetti, of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on February 4, 1939, in Buras, Louisiana, Arlen was the beloved son of the late Charles Connetti and Ruby Johnson Bozes. Arlen's life was marked by his enduring love for his family and his unwavering work ethic. He shared 68 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Marlene Cabiran Connetti. Together, they raised a family that included their children, Arlene Connetti Jones (Claude, Jr.) and the late Edmund Charles Connetti (Kandi). Arlen's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Claude Joseph Jones III (Jenny), Christopher Arlen Jones (Lark), and Patrice Marie Connetti, and great-grandchildren, Owen Christopher Jones, Macie Ann Jones, Ada Laurel Jones, Jack Wilkin Jones, and Kaeley Amy Burlett who will forever cherish their memories with him. Arlen's siblings, Wanda Boe (Edward), Charlene Debelo, Frances Delahoussaye (Keith), the late Charles Connetti Jr., and the late Michael Connetti, will remember his kind heart and fun-loving spirit. He was a pillar of strength, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. A graduate of Warren Easton High School's Class of 1958, Arlen's commitment to excellence was evident early on. His professional journey was marked by a remarkable 41-year tenure as Parts Manager at Garrard Chevrolet, followed by 12 years as Parts Salesman at Bryan Chevrolet. His colleagues and customers alike respected Arlen for his expertise, integrity, and genuine care for those he served. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Arlen was an active member of the Domino Pleasure Club, where he enjoyed the camaraderie. His love for the sports was evident in his passion for bowling, fishing, hunting, and shrimping. Arlen was also a talented craftsman, often found creating beautiful works with his hands, a testament to his attention to detail and patience. Arlen's life was a tapestry of dedication and joy. His infectious laughter and warm presence will be missed at family gatherings, where he was always ready with a helping hand. His love for life's simple pleasures, from a quiet day on the water to the thrill of a strike at the bowling alley, was a reminder to all to cherish the moments that bring us happiness. His Catholic faith and spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
