Arlene Longo Obituary

LONGO Arlene Longo, devoted daughter of Marie and Jim Longo, passed away at her home in Timberlane, Gretna on November 10. She was forty years old. A native of New Orleans, Arlene was a graduate of Holy Cross University where she majored in psychology. A love of animals led her to volunteer in veterinary services and to work as a breeder of Rottweiler dogs. An avid ""techie'' and collector, she wrote poems and enjoyed travel in the U.S., Puerto Rico and abroad with her family. She is survived by her brother James, his wife Cara and their three children Corey, Jesse and Cassidy. Arlene chose to donate her body to scientific research. A memorial service will be held at St. Martha's Church, 2555 Apollo Drive, Harvey, at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 15. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Arlene to the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 10640, Jefferson, Louisiana, 70181.
