Arthur Roussel Obituary

ROUSSEL Arthur 'Art' Adam Roussel, Jr., 69, a native and resident of Lockport, died at 12:00 p.m. on April 9, 2009. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Falgout Funeral Home, 600 Church St., Lockport, LA and from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time Monday, April 13, 2009 at Holy Savior Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Savior Catholic Church onMonday, April 13, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vivian Orgeron Roussel; his sons, Brian P. and wife Mary B. Roussel of Raceland, Craig P. and daughter-in-law Pam B. Roussel of Thibodaux and Scott P. and wife Cindie D. Roussel of Thibodaux; five sisters and their husbands, Velma R. and Edwis Dufrene, Thelma R. and Manton Chiasson, Sr., Bertha R. and James Vedros, Maude R. Crochet all of Lockport, and Bernice R. and Glenn Bourgeois of Raceland; six grandchildren, Chris Hendrix, Keith Roussel, Brittnie Roussel, Blake Terry, Dustin Terry and Whitney Terry; two great grandchildren, Ava Hendrix and Adrienne Terry; brother-in-law and wife Michael and Beckie Orgeron, sister-in-law Meryl O. Jones; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was prededed in death by his parents, Arthur 'Dub' and Clemillia G. Roussel, Sr.; daughter Celeste R. Hendrix; in-laws Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Orgeron; brother-in-law Gerald 'Zeke' Crochet, Sr. and one nephew, Troy Chiasson. He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. He was an employee of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. for 34 years until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, computer games, home improvement and spending time with family. Falgout Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
