Audrea Skinner Obituary

Audrea Andre (Dre) Skinner who was born on October 21,1978 to the late Andrew Bush and Dollie Skinner and was called home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2022. He was 43 years old. A native New Orleanian, Andre was educated in the Orleans Parish School System. He accepted Christ at an early age and as an adult he attended and was a deacon at New Home Ministries, under Samuel R. Blakes. He later became a member of Holy Trinity FWC under Pastor Peggy Ratliff, where he was ordained as an Elder and was active in outreach and the Men's Ministry. Andre worked in construction for over 20 years. Dre started out at Boh.Bros., where he met Harry-Lynn who taught him everything he knew and accepted him as his son. From there he became a foreman on every job he worked. He was always the first one on the job and the last to leave. He became a successful entrepreneur to Junk Lords in May 2021. Andre met the love of his life Alicia while at Dunbar's in 1999. And married her in April 2000 and to that union was born three beautiful children, Angelique, Andre Jr and Anthony Skinner. Dre as we knew him enjoyed spending time with his family and his stanka. Everyone that knew Dre knew he was a died hard Saints fan. Andre leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Alicia Skinner; 3 children who, he adored: Angelique, Andre Jr and Anthony Skinner. 1 four-legged grand dog: Dior. His mother Dollie Skinner. 2 sisters Tomeka Bush Ruffin and Dejoan Skinner. 1 Auntie Barber Bush. His In Laws Peggy and Benton Ratliff and Louis and Sheree Henderson. To the Skinner and Holy Trinity FWC. I met Dre when I joined in 2009. He helped me along the way to make me comfortable with the ministry. We went through ministry school and we´re ordained together. I remember him being right next to me; he was always a competitor and challenger. When dealing with Dre, he brought out the challenger in you. Was he perfect? No, none of us are. Did he struggle? Yes, we all do. ( I always asked, when I didn´t see him I would ask, where is that boy?) He was always respectful to me. He knew the word and God. Great person, provider, family man. Miss you Dre. Rest In Peace.
