Audrey Celestine

Audrey Haynes Celestine peacefully passed away on March 12, 2018, at the age of 91. She was born in McCall, La., and was a resident of New Orleans, La. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Nathaniel (Danielle), Kenneth (Amanda) and Tyron (Kynitra) Celestine; three daughters, Audrey C. Thomas, Beverly C. (Alfred) Harris and Lisette C. Jacobs; a brother, Ernest Haynes; a sister, Eliza Haynes; and one sister-in-law, Iona Haynes. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Celestine Sr.; her parents, Herbert and Lorenza Haynes; her brother, Herbert Haynes Jr.; and brother and sister-in-law, Wilbert Sidney and Lucille Celestine. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, for 10:00 a.m. at Estelle J. Wilson Funeral Home, 2715 Danneel Street, New Orleans, LA 70113. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Rev. Antoine R. Jacobs officiating. Interment: Mt.
