Audrey Ernestine Leroux

1926 - 2023

Our beloved mother, Audrey Ernestine Pittman Leroux was taken up by the angels on May 9th, 2023 to be with Our Lord. Audrey was born on June 24th, 1926 to loving parents, William T. Pittman and Gertrude Garza in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Leroux, parents and four siblings Jean (June) Sutherland, William T. Pittman II, Wayne Pittman, Gail P. Lewis, and survived by Judy P. Hebert. A devotee of her Catholic Faith she was in the Sodality of Mary, she vigilantly attended Adoration, and was a member of PAPA, a prayer apostolate praying for the sanctity of priests. Audrey went to Catholic Schools in New Orleans and attended St. Stephen's elementary and St. Stephen's girls High School. She work for South Central Bell Telephone Company as a draftsman and State of Louisiana Vital Statistics as a supervisor in the Vital Records department. She and her husband, Charles M. Leroux, had five children. They are Mary Jo L. Barr, Denise L. Clarke (Bob Clarke, husband), Charlette L. Fiorella, Charles Michael Leroux (Cindy M. Leroux, wife) and William T. Leroux (Darren Davis).She was grandmother of David M. Barr, Douglas E. Barr, Scott R. Barr, Jonathan Berger (deceased), Jodi B. Cardoso, and Carly B. Buhler. She was the great-grandmother of Alexis Barr, Patrick Barr, Graeme Barr, Audrey Cardoso, Phoenix Cardoso, Finley Buhler, Eli Buhler, and Reese Buhler and great-great-grandmother to Maverick Barr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, LA 70005, on Thursday, May 25, 2023, starting at 10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124. Services under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home.
