August F. Kohl Jr.

August F. Kohl Jr. 68, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2014. He was born in New Orleans, LA to the late August and Mamie Kohl. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 50 years, Kathy V. Kohl, his 3 children: Tina Dieudonne (Anthony Dieudonne), Cindy Sprague (Trevor Sprague) and Sharon Kohl (Shawn Gwin), his grandchildren: Chris Dieudonne, Amber Dieudonne, Whitney Sprague and Brandon Sprague and his step-sister Patricia Waldrop. He was preceded in death by his step-sister Erna A. Theriot, step-brother Raymond G. Amann and his nephew Maurice Theriot. August graduated from De La Salle High School and received a BA in Finance and Marketing from Loyola University. He was a long time resident of Kenner, LA and a charter member of the Carnival Krewe of Caesar. He enjoyed watching old movies, Sunday dinners with his family and the music of Camelot. He will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124, (504) 486-6331 on Monday Jan. 12th at 11am.
