My fondest memories of Ben are his masterfully funny storytelling, his incisive political analysis, his perfect graciousness as a host, his natural handsomeness, and, above all, his adoration of Deb. Please accept my sympathy, and wishes for his peaceful rest. With love and a heavy heart,

A man I shall mourn for the rest of my days. A dear friend, muse and tech guru. I lived for his wit and humor (and Deb's reaction to it!) each time I visited. My best memory is the road trip with him, Deb, Liselle and me from Washington, D.C. to Virginia's Monticello testing his newly obtained (and then experimental) talking GPS. He insisted on silence as we listened to the pre-Siri-voice announce every turn after we had already passed it. All the while, Deb sat quietly with a map unfolded in her lap. What fun! Of course, he did some funny one-liners to the docents at Monticello, too! Ben, thank you for a life well done! Godspeed, dear Deb and the entire Nuss family. Requiescat in pace et amore. KJR

I remember when Ben started to school. He thought the square toilet paper in the school bathrooms was the neatest thing. He would come home with his clothes stuffed with paper toilet (as he called it) and his mom would scold him but she could not stop him.
I remember when he was into photography...developing, picture taking, etc.
I still have a picture Ben took of me when I was about 18.
I feel a great loss even though I have not seen Ben in years. He was my husband's baby brother and we loved him.
Joann,Debbieand Ben's Son, daughter and family may the God of all comfort, comfort your hearts in the loss of Ben.

The first time I met Ben, we became instant friends. At the time he was dating Deb and (being Deb's ex-husband) some might find that odd. We had great times together over the years and kept in touch via e-mail and phone.
I am going to miss Ben's unique sense of humor. So many stories to tell.
Ben is with the Lord now.
I will always remember him.

Debbie, Bill and I always enjoyed seeing and talking with Ben. It was always a pleasure to see his smiling face at the Nuss's Christmas party. He was a kind and thoughtful person. God bless you.
Sincerely, Cindy and Bill Redo

Ms. Debbie - I am so deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Ben`s passing. He was such an outgoing personality and most of all, I loved my daily greeting from both Mr. Ben and Baby Girl. Sometimes they would drive pass my on the route - and Mr. Ben would toot the horn and Baby Girl would have her head out the window with the wind blowing her cute little ears. I would get a chuckle and it would just make the rest of my day. The two of you are such wonderful, loving and inspirational people and I sincerely thank you for allowing me to have been a part of your lives each and everyday for the past 12 years. My love and prayers are with you and your family during your difficult transition. But know that Mr. Ben`s passing is because God has much bigger plans for him! And with Mr. Ben`s personality and talent - he will certainlty be just was missing! All my best, your mail lady - Leslie

I grew up as next door neighbor to Ben (Benny to us) in Greenwood, Mississippi. He truly was like a dear brother to me. He was there for me, whether it was to take me to get my driver's license or to the movies, parties, etc. He was like part of my family. I always knew he would be successful in broadcasting...I remember his days at WABG and the natural talent he exhibited back in the very beginning of his career. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to all of his family.

I worked with Ben at WROA too. He was my news partner in the mornings and on middays! I am so proud to have worked with him and then listened to him with great attention on WWL! Great voice, writer, and the funniest person alive (off the mike). A pro. I am so saddened to know he is gone but they got a great one in God's Place!
