My darling Judy:
Words will never express how much I loved my Uncle Ben. I will never forget these words he spoke to me John 14:2 "In my father's house are many mansions.I will never forget he said he would be going to his Father's House. He was right!! The sound of his voice through words and music will live on forever and ever. My love and prayers to you for continued peace and comfort. God bless you and the family.
Love, Gioia

May Benny rest in peace. Having a Mass said for him this Friday. May Benny always be remembered for the joy his music brought to us in NOLA and around the world. In the mid-60's the dances during our Jesuit days that brought the heaviest attendance were "Deacon John and the Ivories...featuring Benny "Fortune Teller/Lipstick Traces" Spellman. I can see him on that stage now doing Fortune Teller. He held an audience like no other! Judy, we too will miss him. Prayers for his soul and all there.
