Bert St. Romain Sr.

ST. ROMAIN Bert James St. Romain Sr., native of St. Bernard Parish, resident of Ponchatoula, passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born on Wednesday, November 6, 1935, in Plaucheville, La., son of the late Herman St. Romain and the late Minnie St. Romain. He served his country as a member of the Air National Guard and retired from Kaiser Aluminum, he was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Judy St. Romain, sons, Bert St. Romain Jr. and wife Wendy St. Romain and Steve St. Romain and wife Karin St. Romain, daughter, Sharon St. Romain Ansardi, grandchildren, Misty St. Romain, Holly Sanchez, Yvonne Montz, Heidi Boudoin, Mandi St. Romain, Bert St. Romain III, Merissa Lopez, Steve St. Romain, Jr. and Olivia Ansardi, 10 great grandchildren, sisters, Alice Corvers and Marie Larriviere brother, Timothy St. Romain and sister, Cynthia Ayo. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Catherine McCarron. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula. He was a precious soul who knew no strangers. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of joy and kindness, he will be fondly remembered for the sense of humor and love for his family and friends.
