Momma Bertha
You have had so many of us adoptees, that door on Coliseum St was like a revolving deptartment store door. You were Momma to everybody. I will always cherish my childhood memories from first grade -eighth grade spending weekends and summers as one of the family. And truly making you feel like you were one of the family. You have listened to our complaints, troubles and sent us on our way feeling like you have saved our little world. I loved you like you were my mother and always will. You were my summertime stand in mom and those are the days that I will cherish forever. By the way can I have one of those, you know I don't have to spell it out, when you weren't looking I wore it with envy!!! Lol!!!! I know you knew anyway, you knew everything. We didn't get much past you!! Love you forever and you will forever be in my heart!!!!

So sorry for your loss. I remember working with Bertha at St. Alphonsus - she helped me with the Special ed. kids. She was wonderful with them - so kind, patient and understanding. Please know the Dragon family is in my thoughts and prayers!

Uncle Sonny and family, Jerry and I are so saddened by the loss of our beloved Aunt Bertha. She was such a caring, loving, funny, and genuine lady. We will miss her smiles, hugs, advice, dancing, and most of all her deep caring and love. We will be at the wake and funeral until then know that we love you all and are praying for your strength through this difficult time..... Love you all

This was such a dear woman who welcomed everyone into her home as though they were family. She was one of those people, no matter how brief your time with her was, she would always continue to be in your heart. She and Sonny have passed this trait onto their amazing children. Thank you all for making me feel so loved in NOLA. God bless you, she is greatly missed.
