Bertha Lawrence Obituary

Bertha Hillard Lawrence entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the age of 72; beloved wife of the late Willie Lawrence, Sr. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Joseph and Beulah Hillard; daughters Thelma Bell and Barbara "Bobbie" Lawrence, sister Lucille Hillard, brother Claiborne Hillard. She is survived by her children Willie Jr, Michael (Trina), Connie (Karim), Angela (Maurice), Vivian, Rickey (Sigma), and Gary; siblings Joseph Jr., Louise (Ivory), Gladys, Delores (Albert), Lois (Brian), Charles (Kathy), Kenny(Rita), Ray (Jennifer), Eddie Lee, Donald and Audrey (Andre). Bertha was the loving grandmother of seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM. Pastor Fred Luter, Jr., officiating. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Batchelor, Louisiana. Interment: Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Rhodes Funeral Home. Please visit www.rhodesfuneral.com to sign the online guest book.
