Just thinking of you. I was wondering why you were on my mind so heavy and I just figured it out. You prepared us for all things in life and in your home going. I k WW you wouldn´t be here forever but I never imagined you´d be gone now. Thank you for the many life lessons you gave us. We´re doing well but you know that. Miss you much. Love ya to the moon and back.

Nottingham Drive has less life on it now since you passed away Mrs.Bessie.You have known me since I was seven years old, you have seen me grow into a adult Man with your sons. You have seen me run and play up and down the street of Nottingham Drive for decades, myvteenage years throughout the 1980's my prom knew my parents shared in our hardships with Hurricane Katrina. You and your very RESPECTED and loved Husband and friend Mr.Andrew Preston were the first ADOS/DOAS Melanated Americans to ever move onto Nottingham Drive during those days when New Orleans East was a mostly White American district in 1974. My family (The William's family) moved here in 1975, we were so happy to see familiar, friendly faces back then with all the racism we had to face. It was truly a honor to have known you, check up on you and care for you like my own Mother. Nottingham Drive feels a little more hollow now.I wish I could have attended your funeral but I just did not find your obituary in the paper. But maybe this way I can always remember you Mrs.Bessie in my memories as we used to do on bright sunny days talking and laughing with each other about the times I grew up and the past living on Nottingham Drive. I will truly miss you and that beautiful smile and grace you have.I remember a old saying, the older we get, the more we lose, I know what that means too well now. Please get your well deserved rest now and hug Mr.Preston for me and tell him I miss him.And tell my dad I said hello as well, he will be so happy to see his neighbor, I know Mr. Preston will be so happy to see his love and best friend again.Rest in Heavenly peace from Ronnie J William's and the William's family.
