Betty Seymour Obituary

Betty Seymour departed this life September 11, 2023 at the age of 87 surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born December 17, 1935 to the late Louis R. Seymour and Espronzia Seymour. Betty was the last of her sibling to pass on to Glory. Betty was the matriarch of the family who loved her children, neighbors and friends. Betty was proceeded into death by both her parents; companion, Talmadge Toney; two sisters, Audrey Smith and Myrtle Seymour; two brothers, Louis Early Seymour and Clarence Williams; one son, Vanderbilt Seymour; one grandson, Rozono Smith, Sr.; one great granddaughter, Brittany Seymour, two sons -n- law, Patrick Taplette, Sr., and Anthony Watkins. She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Joiel S. Taplette, Wanda J. Seymour, Ada Mae Seymour, Robin Marie Watkins; two sons, Talmadge Seymour and Farron Seymour. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at The City of Love Church, 8601 Palmetto St., New Orleans, LA 70118 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM. Interment: Private. Due to Covid variants, face mask and social distancing encouraged. Please sign the online guestbook at www.charbonnetfuneralhome.com.
