I was reading an article in the Sunday edition of the Advocate newspaper. It touched me so much and presented a vivid description of the type of person Brandon was. All items pointed to the goodness in his heart. What a full life in a short time. My sympathy to the family.

My condolences to the immediate family of Mr. Brandon Anthony Franklin. I have had the privilege and honor of knowing Brandon since he enrolled at O. Perry Walker High School. He is one of the most pleasant and polite people I have ever met in my life. Every morning when he walked into the school, he would hug and kiss Mrs. Hererra then he would hug and kiss me an ask us how we were doing. We truly lost a piece of New Orleans the night Brandon left us. His music will live on in each and every one of us. Please find comfort in knowing that.

Brandon was like a big brother to me growing up. Ive known him since i was 10 attending Israel Meyer Augustine Middle School (new orleans, la)he treated me like i was his baby sister. my condolences for the Franklin family. "Pressing towards the mark of a higher calling!!!" Young people..pause and observe how God put people in your life only for a season, not a lifetime. Take advantage of the resources around you and utilize them to the best of your ability. Brandon did not live a long life but he lived a full life. That means more in the kingdom than wasted time on earth. Get with it----Live life smart and to the fullest!!!

To the Franklin family, you have my deepest sympathy. I didn't personally know Brandon, but the lovely stories of him being such a wonderful role model to the youth is astonishing. I am praying for the family.

To Brandon's Family, he is not lost, for you know where he is. The word of God says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Brandon's spirit is with the Lord looking down on you. I pray that God will give you peace during this time. I know from experience that this is a hurt than only heaven can heal. Look to God and the Holy Spirit for your comfort. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You will be in my prayers.

Brent, Herman, Herbert and the entire Franklin family, I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of Brandon. He was a great musician, drum major and friend. I am proud to have known him. Look to God for comfort in the coming days and find joy in the fact that he made a positive impact on so many young people through his gift of music. He will truly be missed.
