Brian Denall "Shorty" Doublet on Wednesday, October 23, 2002. Age 40. Beloved son of Barbara Humphrey Doublet and the late Lawrence J. Doublet, Jr. Devoted brother of Dawn Doublet-Lewis and Sean P. Doublet. Stepbrother of Lawrence J. Doublet, Robert Doublet, Lerna Minor and Leslie Mitchell. Brother-in-law of Randy Lewis, Sr. and Bertha S. Doublet. Loving uncle of Randy Jr. and Cassidy A. Lewis, Lindsey, Lauryn and the late Simone Doublet. Nephew of Tyrone and Claudette Humphrey. Great-nephew of Carrie Wise. Great-great-nephew of Joshua Theriot, Felton Theriot and Mary Theriot Williams of Oakland, CA. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, employees of Jefferson Parish School System, Waggaman Special School, Lockheed Martin Technology, Inc., CII Carbon, Bissonet, Pitre and Bunche Middle Schools, Felix and The Pearl Restaurant, Jefferson Alliance of Black School Educators, Les D'Moiselle Delicate', Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., National Association of University Women, Charles Sullivan #181 Order of Easter Star PHA and St. Charles Parish Sheriffs Office are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at 10:00 am at St. John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, 2538 Jackson Ave., Rev. Gene Powell, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Magee's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rev. David M. Patin, Sr. and Gwiena Magee-Patin, Directors.
