AUBURN | Bruce A. McIntyre Sr., of Auburn, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014. Bruce was the son of the late Arthur and Shirley McIntyre. He was an electrician for more than 25 years for the IBEW Local 840 in Geneva, N.Y. Bruce loved watching basketball, going fishing, and playing blackjack. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Katie McIntyre; 10 children, Ronald Tillman, Michael Tillman, Frederick Tillman, Ponel Jackson, Bruce A. McIntyre Jr. and his wife, Haizel, Nakeeda McIntyre and her son, Lorenzo, Suzette McIntyre, Denean Martin and her husband, James, Bruce Smith-McIntyre, and Tracey McDonald and her husband, Ronald; sister, Sheila Williams; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and two special god daughters.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his daughter, Eyvette Thibadeau, and two brothers, Roland and Ronald McIntyre.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Oct. 29, 2014 in Roosevelt Baptist Church, 101 Fitch Ave., with a service to follow at noon. Interment will be in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
