To Bryan's family,
I am a nurse that worked with Bryan at Ochsner Hospital. He was one of my favorite anesthesiologists...very caring to his patients and to the nurses he worked with. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you at this time.

My husband and I were residents at Pitt with Bryan. We are both deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I think I can speak on behalf of our residency classes when we say our sympathies go out to you for your loss of a great son and husband. Our prayers will be for your comfort in this difficult time.
Bryan will always be remembered fondly as we think of our times in residency. I will also personally cherish all the valuable advice he gave me about Sicily, as I immediately followed his time there.
Again, he will be missed as a valuable colleague and friend.

To the Friz Family:
I am pained at the loss of Brian in the flower of his youth, his career, and as a husband and family man. Brian distinguished himself, first and foremost, as a caring human being, and then as a physician caring for children in the most trying of circumstances. He was appreciated by all he came in contact with, and we remember him with great fondness here at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. His loss is palpable.
My sincerest condolences. May his Memory be a consolation to you all.

I am so saddened to learn that
Dr. Brian Fritz has passed on.
I remember working with him when he was a Fellow in Pediatric Anesthesia at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was very perceptive and kind.
He was one of the Fellows that I would expect to see excel as he continued to practice pediatric anesthesia.
I imagine that this is a very painfull time for all those he left.
I will remember how he contributed to the care of children.

Bryan and Sam are part of our New Orleans family.
Bryan had a unique way of engaging you, and I was always impressed with his perspective on whatever we happened to be discussing. There's a picture I will cherish of Bryan sitting on a couch with my 82 year old grandmother at my wedding. He went out of his way to talk with her, and it meant so much to her.
Recently, Bryan and I were talking about one of his favorite movies, Major League. He was sharing his favorite quotes with me. I'll always think of him now whenever I see it.
We are heartbroken over the loss of Bryan, but we are thankful for the opportunity to have been a part of his life. He was such a special person to so many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days ahead. Love,

Our entire department of anesthesiology at Ochsner was gathered today, over 80 people strong, to remember Bryan. Many told stories of their experiences with Bryan. It is clear that Dr. Bryan Fritz is greatly loved and has made a huge impact on our group and our patients.
We all want Sam, Bryan's his parents and other family to know how much he meant to us. He will be always remembered as a talented physician, highly capable specialist and patient teacher who made those with whom he interacted comfortable. He will definitely remain in our hearts and prayers!

My deepest sympathies & condolence to Samantha his new wife; Bryan's parents, Edward and Cecilia Fritz; and his extended family, upon his loss. Bryan was an excellent inspirational Physician who I watched grow and mature during his training with us at Children's Hospital Pittsburgh. He was calm and cool headed and was truly loved by many who worked with him and this inspired me about him in addition to his tenacity. He will be missed and unfortunately a brilliant career has been lost. I recently told a friend that it seems like God is calling home many of his Angels early, Bryan for sure being one of them. Blessings always!

I could not be more sorrowed by Bryan's passing. Bryan and I logged a lot of hours sitting across a library table, studying while we were at Tulane. His work ethic was unbelievable; it kept me going a lot of the time. But Bryan also knew when it was time to close the books and go have some fun. For that life lesson and all those good times, I will be forever grateful. My heart goes out to his many friends and family, especially his wife and his mom and dad.
