Byron Toups

Byron Toups, Jr., age 49, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Known to many as Bub or Bubbie. He was married for the last 20 years to his loving wife, Jo Ann Falcon Toups. Together they raised 2 beautiful daughters, Bella and Bobbi Toups. He is survived by his parents, Bonnie and Byron Toups, his sister, Bridget Bradley (John), and grandmother, Joan Jacob. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, friends and furbabies. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Tina Toups, maternal grandfather, Roland Jacob, and uncles, Michael Jacob and Tommy Toups. He was a graduate of East Jefferson High School's 1993 class and went on to attend Delgado Community College and UNO. He worked as an electrician with nearly 29 years of dedicated service to H. Rocker Electric. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he was respected by colleagues and clients alike for his expertise and work ethic. Outside of his professional life, Byron found solace and joy in nature. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in the tranquility of the wilderness. Whether it was hunting for arrowheads, camping, or hiking through the woods on his land in Mount Hermon; he simply enjoyed the beauty of the natural world. Byron's love for gardening and the outdoors was infectious. He found immense joy in sharing these experiences with his family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, April 20, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. from Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N.
