My condolences to Calvin Jr and the Aguillard family. Sorry I just found out about this. Mr Calvin was like a father to me and a close family confidant. He was a true Christian, role-model, leader and provider who lead by example. He will be dearly missed.

Hi AGUILLARD FAMILY,this is Cheryl your next door neighbor from long long ago on Allen St, Mrs Florence daughter,I'm so very sorry to hear of Mr Calvins passing.I remember him being a larger then life man who said what he meant and meant what he said and as I read some of his condolences I can tell he stayed that man .He along with your family are some of my memories that I keep with me of times that I never want to forget.May the Lord hold you all in his loving arms and keep you there.I will remember you in my prayers.God bless you!❤

I'm sadden to learn of the passing of Calvin. He was a very verbal leader in the community. His voice will be missed by many. I always enjoyed talking with him. May his soul rest in peace.

To the Aguillard family, I am so happy to have known Mr. Calvin as a neighbor during my summers in New Orleans as a young girl. I remember him as a hard worker, he spoke his mind and he loved his family. It was so wonderful to know that I had a village in New Orleans while I spent time with family away from home in Atlanta as well as when I was at Tulane for college. The Aguillard's opened their home to me and my brother during those summers and I always knew I was safe playing on Alvar in the 9th ward. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Robin words can't express what you are feeling ( I know that you were daddy's little girl) through our conversations. Our heavenly father's knows just how much we can bear. Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there , just trust in his word and hold on don't be afraid to hold on to God for he promise that he would take care of us. May your mom get the strength to endure what she can't change 62 years is along time to be with someone than all of a sudden he is gone.
