Calvin Twilbeck Obituary

Calvin Louis Twilbeck, 90, passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at his home in Marrero, La. after a brief illness of cancer. He was born April 22, 1927 in New Orleans and lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish. He served in the army in World War II from November 1945 until September 1948, then in Army Reserves until July 1952. He was one of the first paid members of Jefferson Parish Consolidated Fire Department in 1952. He was the seventh child of Eugene Twilbeck and Agnes Lowe Twilbeck. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn L. Poley by first marriage and Thelma Mike by second marriage. Father of Ralph J. Twilbeck Sr. (Bernadette), Dewayne L. Twilbeck (Melissa), John Mike (the late Shirley), Joe Mike (Ester), Alice Guillot (the late Norris), Norma Uluduz (Keramettin), Toni Chaisson (Gilbert) and Anna Dillard (the late Thomas). Survived by 1 sister, and 3 brothers. 24 Grandchildren, 42 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services which will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 26, 2018 from 9:00AM- 11:00AM. There will be a Christian service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Patrick #3, 143 City Park Ave., New Orleans, La. 70119. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
