Camilla Morris Obituary

Camilla Mary Gautreaux Morris, age 90, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in New Orleans, LA. She was a native of Morgan City, LA and a resident of New Orleans. She was the youngest and last survivor of nine children born to Lucien Joseph and Mary Camilla Gautreaux. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John James Morris, Sr., and her son, John James II. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Morris Hinyub, with whom she was residing at the time of her death. She is survived by her grandchildren, Robert S. Hinyub, Jr. (Danielle), Lauren Hinyub Leighton (Jerry), and Allison Hinyub Langley (Lee), 9 great-grandchildren, her former son-in-law, Robert S. Hinyub, Sr. and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, (OCDS) for almost 30 years. A private wake and Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Algiers was held on November 15, 2014. It was officiated by the Very Rev. John Talamo, Jr., V.F. Intermittent in Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna.

Dear Jan & Family! What a Beautiful Lady both inside & out! - And her Smile would light up a room! I know she will be deeply missed but always know she will be with you spiritually!
