Camille Claire Grefer

Camille Claire Grefer passed away peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was 93 years old. Loving daughter of the late Archibald Joseph Grefer Sr. and Camille Antoine "Hazel" Grefer. Sister of Joseph F. Grefer (the late Patsy Mole), the late Rose Marie Grefer Haase', the late Henry A. Grefer (the late Evelyn Meyer), and the late Archibald Joseph Grefer Jr. Aunt of Marsha Grefer Madere (Gary), Mark Grefer (Therese), Brian Grefer, Adele Grefer Beebe (Mike), Archie Grefer (Brenda), Melody Grefer Gassen (Mark), Greg Grefer (Linda), Steve Grefer (Maureen), Suzanne Delahoussaye, Edmond C. Haase' III (Renee), and Pamela Haase' Scaffidi (Gary). Great-aunt of many. Camille was a native of Gretna and resident of Lakeview, and later Metairie, for the majority of her life. She graduated from St. Mary of the Pines in Chattawa, Misssissippi and Loyola University in New Orleans. She was a Medical Technician and spent most of her career at the Public Health Hospital and the New Orleans Adolescent and Children's Hospital. She was a devout Catholic who attended Mass daily. She was a rosary leader at St. Angela Merici for several years. She loved her weekly "Coffee Clache" and Holiday entertaining. The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to her caregivers: Carla Borne, Irene Sikes, Roslyn Smith, Daisha Gibbs, Danielle Bryant, and Shanaya Vigne. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at ST. ANGELA MERICI, 901 Beverly Garden Drive, Metairie, on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 12:00 noon.
