Carl Victor Ledet

Carl Victor Ledet, a retired employee of Monsanto Chemical for 22 years, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. Born on November 6, 1957, in New Orleans, LA, Carl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In his professional life, Carl dedicated over two decades of service to Monsanto Chemical. His commitment and passion for his work shone through the unwavering dedication to his job. Carl will be deeply missed by his surviving family, including his loving wife of 46 years, Vicky J. Ledet; daughter Laine K. Ledet (Joey) and son Carl J. Wilson (Stacy); grandchildren Hayden J. Pecarrere, Caitlyn A. Wilson, and Carlie A. Wilson; siblings Eddie L. Ledet and Kathy L. LaCour (Mark); most loving friend Bill Donahue (Connie) whom he considered his brother; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgie Lee Richard Ledet and Hebert J. Ledet; son Joshua M. Ledet; siblings Thomas J. Hebert (Johana) and Melissa L. Bourgeois. Outside of work, Carl found joy in simple pleasures. He had a deep love for fishing and could often be found enjoying a relaxing day on the golf course. Amongst his accomplishments was being a member of the Masons and Shriners Hospital for many years. These organizations held a special place in Carl's heart, providing him with a sense of community and camaraderie that enriched his life. A visitation and Funeral Mass in memory of Carl Victor Ledet will be held at 1:30PM on July 27, 2024, at Mothe Funeral Homes, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., in Marrero followed by burial at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM. As we mourn the loss of Carl, let us also celebrate the life he lived-a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing he was truly cherished by those whose lives he touched.
