Carl Neuenhaus was a man for the ages. I first I first met Carl in 1976 and developed a relationship with him that was ongoing until I retired a few years ago. I always learned something from Carl when we were together. He was a total joy.

Whenever Carl walked into a room, he was the center of attention with his smile and fantastic charisma.
My condolences to his family.

I will miss him tremendously. May Carl RIP.

What a great guy is the first thing that comes to mind!
Carl was one of the smartest individuals we have ever met. A truly dynamic man! It was a lucky night when we were seated with Carl and Yan aboard a cruise ship. From that one chance dinner to having our own suite at their house along with breakfast cooked by Carl. It was our first time having Scrapple and was quite good. Carl and Yan showed us their city and Fat Tuesday in grand fashion and really took such good care of us. We cruised together one more time and we just wish we would have done it more often with them!
Carl was a wonderful man to talk to, his quick wit, charm, and true knowledge about this world always amazed us. He was so passionate about all aspects of his life, wife, family, friends, and an adorable little white fur baby.
The world lost a great man but we are sure Carl is charming them from up above!

Tragedy is not to die but to have never lived is and Carl certainly lived a full and joyous life. I believe he would tell all of us, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free ? Miss me but let me go because now I am in my Lord's loving care.

Carl, always made everyone smile with a kind comment or a joke that he felt was stupendous. Everyone dies but not everyone lives, well Carl lived life fully. Tragedy is not to die but to have never lived life fully and Carl gets an A in that category.

Like many of the memorable people in my life, I met Carl on the Delta Queen steamboat. A steamboat is a great discerner: If a person responds to living life at eight m.p.h. on water, chances are that person also is skilled at appreciating the riches of life. No surprise then tehat Carl responded Big-Time. He loved the experience. And because he was a man who acted on his beliefs, he tried to keep the river experience alive on land (much to my benefit). No question about it: Carl was a rare individual. I ... and probably everyone else who passed through his orbit ... was a richer person for having known him.
