Carl Walker Obituary

WALKER Carl Walker, Jr. passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008, at the age of 79. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, but was a longtime resident of New Orleans. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a Veteran, having served in the US Army. Carl retired from the IC Railroad after 40 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Walker, Sr. and Verdie Boone Walker; his brother, James Boone Walker; and his nephew, Tommy Lynn Walker. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly Roth Walker; step-father of Deborah Freeman (Richard) and loving grandfather to Stephanie Tyner, Stephen Freeman and the late Jennifer Freeman. Great-grandfather to Kailyn, Thomas and Lauryn Tyner and Landon Freeman. Carl was a devoted brother to Dorothy Walker Occhipinti (Gasper) and June Walker Morris; and uncle to James Walker, Stephen Morris, Carla Gagliano, Patricia Burgess and Danny Walker. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Services at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 19 , 2008, at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M.

Mr.Carl was a wonderful and generous man and I am sure that his family and friends will find peace knowing that he is now with his beloved wife, "Aunt B". May God give his loved ones the courage and faith to face the days ahead. He will be missed by many.
