Carmen Ortiz Obituary

ORTIZ Carmen 'Kita' Ortiz, age 45 years, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2006. Kita was a native of Matanza, Cuba. She was a resident of New Orleans, LA. for the past 36 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Norton K. Olivier; her parents Jose Raul Ortiz and Carmen Maria Rodriguez de Ortiz, and her sister Caridad Ortiz Fernandez. Survivors include her son, Alvin Paul Ortiz and his wife Susanna of Lemoore, CA.; her daughter, Jessica Lazara Ortiz of Westwego, LA.; Her brother, Horacio Ortiz and his wife Jael of Algiers, LA.; her two sisters, Mary Ortiz and her companion David Bartholomew of Houston, TX.; Loudes Ortiz and her fiance' Gary Robertson of New Orleans, , LA.; her niece and nephews, Christina Peters, Horacio 'Papo' Ortiz, Torie Ortiz, Berta 'Berta' Ortiz, Jennifer Walker, Leslie Ortiz, Dorian Robertson, Charles W. Sallis III, and Barzi Ortiz, and her five great nieces and nephews: Shane, Brittany, Stephen Slaina, and Kalid and a host of great friends and extended family. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd., NOLA. Starting at 9 a.m. Interment will be private. Thibodaux's Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
