Mike, Michelle and Mr. Gene, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Carol. I have very fond memories of spending some wonderful times at your home in Kenner where Mrs. Carol would often invite me to say for dinner and always made me feel right at home. I hope that you all can find some comfort knowing that she left a lasting impression on many from the Bruin family, as I'm sure she did with others in the later years. Pleaes know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I drove with Carol at MES for many years. I will always remember her kindness and always smiling. One special lady to me and she will always have a place in my heart. I am blessed to have been a small part of her life. My prayers are with her family. May God give you comfort in the loss of "A SPECIAL LADY".

Rob and I are shocked and so sad to hear this news. Although we have been gone from Mandeville for 20 years, we can never forget her smile and kindness. We were a young couple with two babies and no family nearby, and she treated us like her own.
Gene, and the whole beautiful family, you are in our prayers. Her face just lit up when she talked about each of you.
She was one of a kind, and a very special lady, and now the warmest smile in Heaven. All our Love and Prayers.

I am in shock hearing just this afternoon of Carol's passing! She has been the bus driver for 2 of my children for over 10 years!! She and I became friends! I can see her smile on her last day driving!! She blew the horn, called me over and gleamed as she told me she was retiring! She was looking forward to spending time with the grandkids she bragged about so often!! Carol really meant a lot to our family! I'm so sorry for your loss! She was a wonderful lady!

It was my honor and privilege to care for Carol in the hospital. On Tuesday evening I was able to hold her hand and pray for her. She was not afraid to embrace what God had for her "next." I rarely follow up on a patient, but Carol was special and the love of the whole family spoke to the legacy of life, joy and fullness that she leaves behind. My love to you all.
