Carrie Ann Smith Williams entered eternal rest at Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the age of 71. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Carrie was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, and she attended Delgado Community College. She was a retired general manager of Smitty's Restaurant and Jefferson Parish Public Schools Food and Nutrition Dept. Devoted mother of Brandon, Ronnell, and Anjuenee Williams. Daughter of the late James C. Smith, Sr. and Lillie Mae McPherson Smith. Sister of Irma S. Taylor, Gloria S. Davis, Dari S. Coleman, and the late Mary S. Gordon, James C. Smith, Jr., Marion S. Lewis, Kenneth Smith, and Sherman Smith, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1515 Whitney Ave. Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith E. Thornton, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
