Carroll Barriere Obituary

Carroll Martin Barriere, Sr. was born on October 11, 1944 to the late Mr. Paul Frank Barriere, Sr. and Mrs. Clara Toca Barriere of New Orleans, Louisiana. Carroll was raised in the church at an early age and later in his life he was baptized at Apostolic Outreach Church in 1976. He continued his worship at Household of Faith Church until the Lord called him home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Carroll worked with different companies throughout his entire life as a mechanic, a cook and other traits from his educational and mechanical background.He always had a smile on his face every time he was around family along with a stern personality. Carroll enjoyed a friendly game of dominos, shooting pool with friends and cherished the time spent being a fisherman at heart. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Paul Frank Barriere, Sr. and Mrs. Clara Toca Barriere, his three brothers: Jules Barriere, Donald Barriere and Paul Barriere, Jr. and sister Berniece Caliste. He leaves to cherish his memories are his children: Darren Barriere (Eleanor), Carroll Martin Barriere, Jr. Valerie "Sookie" Barriere- Goodman (Toby), Carroll Jules Barriere, Sr. (Kimberly), Taghaza Newson, Livans Lindsey, Tameka Harris (Demetrius), LaShandra Lindsey, Keith Lindsey; his siblings: Udell Barriere, Antione Barriere (Althea), Welmon Barriere (Eliska) Ronald Barriere (Cynthia) and Clarita Bar- riere; his 27 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
