Catherine Howell Obituary

HOWELL Catherine Miceli Howell passed away peacefully on October 1, 2007 at 4:15 pm. Wife of the late Herbert D. Howell. Mother of Dora H. Lorentz. Mother-in-law of Butch Varnado. Grandmother of Daniel Lorentz (Patricia), Lori Lorentz Guillory (Timothy), Connie Jo Lorentz Lauricella (Louis). Great Grandmother of Jason and Jared Lorentz, Samuel and Reece Guillory, Katie Lauricella and the late Nicholas Guillory. She is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Daughter of the late Salvador Miceli and Conchetta Matisse Miceli. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Snows, St. Lucy Society and Oblates of Mary. She also volunteered and baked for the St. Joseph Altar Society. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 12:15 pm. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or donations to charity of your choice. Miss Kate always made me feel like a part of the family when I was so far away from my own. I'll cherish the memories of wonderful Sunday dinners with the Howell's and Lorentz's. I'll miss you Nana and Herb.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Miss. Dora, Danny, Lori, and Connie Jo.

She was goodness and kindness. One of her gifts was that she made you feel particularly special to her. I love you Nana and I love the way you brought out the love and the best of people. You will live on in my friend Connie Jo - she's just like you.
