Catherine McCrary Taylor

TAYLOR Catherine McCrary Taylor departed this world on November 13, 2013 at her residence at Christwood Retirement Community in Covington. She was 94 years old. She was the beloved wife of Horace Taylor for 57 years until his death in 1994. Catherine was predeceased by her parents, James Watt McCrary and Myrtle Pierce McCrary and her sister, Blanche McCrary Wade. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Taylor Newcomb Trumps (Regis), her son, H. Braughn Taylor, Jr., grand daughter, Elizabeth Ann Abadie (John), grandsons, Richard D. Newcomb, Jr. (Patti), Stephen F. Newcomb (Ruth), great grand daughter, Taylor Joanna Newcomb, great grandson Staphen F. Newcomb, Jr. Also, her brother James W. McCrary, Jr. and her cousin John Geiser. Catherine was a caring and loving person to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the many care givers and staff at Christwood and St. Tammany Hospice for their loving and professional care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
