Charles Alack Obituary

ALACK Charles "Charlie" Alack, age 88, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at River Parishes Hospital. He was the owner of Charlie's Barber Shop for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post 195. He has lived in Norco for the past 54 years. He is survived by his son, Anthony Alack (Marty); three daughters: Charlan Fauch-eaux (Buddy), Rose Faucheaux (Bobby) and Janet A. Martin; brother, Russell Alack, Jr.; five sisters: Sarah Barovechio, Rosalie Taylor, Jennie Gaumond, Loretta Guillot and Josie Burris; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette "Ann" Spera Alack and his parents; Russell Alack and Jennie Anzalone Alack. Three brothers; Joe, Nat and Louis Alack. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 9:15 am until 11:45 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon from the Church with Fr. Terry Becnel as officiant. Military honors will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan, LA. I have great memories growing up on Marino Drive. Your dad & mom were part of those. He used to call me "wizzy". Whenever I ran into him in stores, he would always give me a hug. I will miss him dearly. Our moms & dads will live in our hearts forever.

Charlan, Rose, Anthony and Janet I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He was such a nice man. I remember going to your house on Sundays and he would fix me a plate of spaghetti.....he knew that I loved his spaghetti. I don't know if you know this but he tought me how to cook chile. I also remember going camping with ya'll as kids....your parents were very patient!!
