Dr. Charles C. Foti Sr.

FOTI Charles C. Foti, Sr., D.D.S. died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at his residence. He was 92 years of age. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Elenora Palmisano Foti. Father of Louisiana State Attorney General Charles C. Foti, Jr. and Carol Edward Foti, M.D. and his wife Pat O'D Foti. Son of the late Frank and Domenica Foti. Grandfather of Trish Foti Genco and Denise Foti Levert. Great-grandfather of Theresa Genco, Ryan Genco, Michael Levert, Christopher Levert, Carolyn Levert and Stephen Levert. Brother of the late Nu Nu Foti, Frank Foti, Mary Gachassin, Rose Marretta, John Foti and Dominic Foti. Dr. Foti granduated from University of Louisiana in Lafayette and Loyola University School of Dentistry. He practiced Dentistry in the New Orleans area for 62 years. He served as a major in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Optimist Club and was named ""Optimist Man of the Year'' and received recognition for his devoted and unselfish service. A Bastille Day Celebration honored him in 1997 for his efforts in the preservation of our French culture and heritage in New Orleans. In 1998 and 1999 he received honors for his outstanding support for the Regional Veterans Day Memorial Service and Parade. He and his wife Elenora volunteered annually in the March of Dimes causes throughout the city. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Clement of Rome Church, 3990 West Esplanade Avenue, Metairie, LA on Friday, May 20, 2005. Visitation at the Church from 10:30 a.m. until Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elenora P. and Charles C.
