For Chris...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Ms. Carolyn,
I didn't know your son personally only through the eyes and mouths of my sons whom are sports fans. My oldest son was so shock when he heard the news while viewing ESPN that he jumped up and ran to relay the sad news of the accident and critical condition to his youngest brother, and they both were upset as thought he was their brother. Because of their reaction I knew your son was a good child and for a whole month I have been on the internet learning all I could about this remarkable young man. Through the readings I realized instantly how special,gifted and giving a young man he was. He was truly a blessing from GOD and blessed by GOD. Because of your son a mass of people have gathered in prayer and love for you and your family. GOD is with you and will continue to hold you and your family in his arms.

It's always a sad and distressing time when lives are lost. Especially at such a young age. The Bible leaves us such a comforting thought at 1 Peter 5:7 that we can actually throw all of our anxiety upon God because he cares for us. I hope and pray that the peace of God is able to comfort those who are affected by this loss.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I would like to send an expression of condolence. I am just a person who heard of Chris at the time of his passing, and after learning about his journey in this life I can say that I understand him in every way and can relate to him on many levels. Chris was a beautiful individual in every way. I to have made great mistakes in my life that have caused me to lose everything and I know the deep pain of that. For Chris in spite of the mistakes that he made he never let go of his faith and determination and when it was all said and done his righteousness did shine like the noon day. Chris Henry I just want to say thank you for being such a beakon of hope, inspiration and strength. For showing the world that even when one stumbles and is misunderstood God is always at work in our lives as long as we hold on to that. I will forever remember your beautiful spirit of hope, determination, faith, inspiration and love. May God also bless and keep those three beutiful children and provide them with everything that they need; and may you forevever rest in the arms of our heavenly father and redeemer, sweet, beautiful baby boy. I look forward to meeting you one day when my time comes.
"For thus saith the high and lofty one that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." ( KJV, Isaiah 57:15)

Let's bow our heads; Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus your son, and beg you to wipe all the weeping eyes especially Chris's mother, father, children, grand parents, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and team mates. Father God, I ask you to lighten the burden and heaviness of our hearts each day Father as we will go on to tomorrow but Chris will be forever with you, Father God. Lord, we cry tonight but, I know Father you say joy will come in the morning. Father, as I wait until the morning come, I ask, beg, and plead to comfort me and all of those who are weary because, my brother in Christ, Chris, has gone to a better place, Father. Lord, you said ask and, you shall receive, Father God, you said, knock and the door will open for you. Father, I'm asking and, Father, I'm knocking. Father, I am asking you to calm the storm in my life right now, Father. Father, I am begging you to ease my suffering and take the pain away from my worldly loss of my brother in Christ, Chris and those who have gone before him and the next one of us who will die, Father. Lord, in your name I pray, Amen. (Plaquemines Parish Supporter)
