Claire Gros Hebert

Claire Gros Hebert, 94, was born in New Orleans and was a long-time resident of Metairie, LA and has lived in Alexandria, LA since Katrina, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Claire is survived by her son, Alan L. Hebert, her daughter-in-law, Cathey Hebert, her daughter, Anne Hebert Winston, her son-in-law, Justin Winston, her sister-in-law Cleon Gros, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Hebert Sr., her son Ralph G. Hebert, Jr., her parents, Edwin and Mae Sager Gros and a brother Edwin Gros, Sr. Claire was a long-time member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Metairie. For the last 12 years she attended St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria, LA. During her working career, she was a nurse and office manager in a doctor's office. She was a hard working, avid traveler, loyal, patient and loving with a keen mind and kind heart to the end of her life. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street in New Orleans. Mass will be celebrated by Father Edwin Gros, S. J. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum.
