Marsh, Clarke Clifford (Bunt) of Flint Township and Burton, age 86, died Tuesday, March 14th, 2017. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Tennis Club in memory of Clarke for a capital improvement fund to be determined. Clarke was born January 7, 1931 in Oshawa, Ontario to the late Clifford Cunliffe and Marguerite (Black) Marsh. He graduated from Oshawa High School and studied Forestry at the University of Toronto before transferring to General Motors Institute (GMI) in Flint, Michigan where he earned his Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering in 1956. He also completed engineering graduate studies at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Clarke married Betty June Greenan of Deckerville, Michigan on November 30th, 1957. Mr. Marsh was employed as an instructor for General Motors Institute for 13 years where he taught Industrial Engineering. Clarke also owned real estate and small businesses in the Flint area including Real Treat Popcorn Co. He was an avid horticulturist who cultivated his many gardens, flowers, berries, fruit trees and nut trees. Clarke was a lifelong member and past president of the Michigan Nut Growers Association. He was a member of the Flint Optimist Club for many years. Clarke was also a lifelong member of the Flint Tennis Club where he started playing tennis while attending GMI as a student and where he played regularly until just a few years ago. He will be missed by all who knew him. Clarke is survived by his companion of five years, Vera Kvasnica of Burton; Sons: Robert (Darbie) Marsh of Medina, Ohio and Blayne (Debbie) Marsh of Davison Michigan; Daughter Betsey Marsh of Saugatuck, Michigan; Grandchildren; Lauren, Tara, Alexandra and Drew. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 54 years, Betty June Marsh (Greenan).

It's been many years since I've seen Bunt but always had fond memories of him visiting us ,the Blacks in Ottawa. My dad was his uncle Don.May he rest in peace..

Rest In Peace Clarke. I speak for the entire membership of the Flint Tennis Club when I say we will miss you. We will miss talking to you at the Thursday potlucks that you attended the past several years. And we will always remember you playing tennis on the clay courts for many, many years.
