Clay Reding Obituary

Clay Victor Reding, 97, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012. Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: Texas Fallen Soldiers, 3200 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, Texas, 75006. Clay was born July 8, 1915, in Clarksburg, Mo. He was proud to build log furniture for his son's home and he stayed active until he was 94 years old as a handyman woodworker. He loved being outside and building patio furniture and birdhouses. He lived in Prescott, Ariz., for eight years. Clay enjoyed living at Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living and Trail Lake Nursing Home. A special "thanks" to them and the entire team of Odyssey Hospice for your care and compassion. Semper Fi. Survivors: Daughter, Syndi Reding; son, John Reding; Papa C's extended family, BJ, Ryan, Richardo, Mandy and Kevin whom he loved dearly and felt their love til the end; his Prescott, Ariz., family whom he loved dearly; also survived by Kim and David.
