I have such fond memories as a child sitting and listening to you and Grandma speaking in French. I could not follow what you were saying to each other, but I understood what was going on...the lifelong love and friendship of two sisters. I love you and will miss you Aunt Cora. My love and prayers are with you all.

Aunt Cora,

I wish I would've gotten closer to you as I were growing up. It's heartbreaking to me to think how close you and Grandma were and I compare that to Allison and I and I just can't imagine how it feels not to have your other half on earth anymore. I remember growing up when we lived in Louisiana, and we would visit Grandma and you and Uncle Roland would come over and the best memories I have of you is your laugh and how your voice calmed any situation. I miss you quite a bit, and I will forever regret not staying in touch with you when we moved to Texas 8 years ago.

I love you Aunt Cora and miss you.

We all have "aunts and uncles", but if you are one of the very fortuanate ones, you have someone like Aunt Cora in your life. She was a pillar in the family. The memories will never fade. The thoughts of Van, Irene and Cora in the same room brought joy and laughter that can never again be duplicated. Gone is that smile, but those thoughts will live on forever in the hearts of anyone that had the honor to know her. Kathleen and Duke are here - which means Aunt Cora is still here. We love all of you and you will forever be blessed part of me and mine.

We are so sorry for your loss. I have wonderful memories of Aunt Cora, and especially the week visits at Easter and Thanksgiving time. Her rice dressing (dirty rice) was the best! I miss her already. We will see you all tomorrow.
Love, Angie Quoyeser Rothermel

Oh dear, sweet Maw-Maw...I'm going to miss you so much. I will forever cherish the memories of spending just about every weekend with you growing up, going to 4:00 mass on Saturdays, dancing with you in the kitchen, making tents around your house using TV trays/chairs/blankets/pillows, eating your chicken gumbo and potato salad (YUMMY!), how "good-lookin" you think my husband is :o) ,the stories of you and Aunt Irene getting into mischief, words and phrases like "pauvre ti bet" "sha ti co-co-nut" ...I could go on and on. You not only survived hurricane Katrina, but also lived through a Tornado. You were always so loving and put everyone before yourself. You loved us all with everything you had. You welcomed everyone into your home (and wanted to cook for them too). You will be greatly missed by everyone that knew you. We love you so much and we'll always have a special place in our heart for you. God Bless You!!! Rest in Peace.
