Dan Agnew Obituary

Dan Gilbert Agnew, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the age of 50. Dan was born November 26, 1973 to the union of Dan Gilbert Agnew, Sr. and the late Claudia Gail Sharett Agnew. Dan was baptized at Fifth African Baptist Church under the direction of the late Reverend Joseph H. Green and remained a faithful member at Fifth African B.C. under the leadership of Reverend Dale Sanders. Dan was educated in the public schools of New Orleans at Gentilly Terrace Elementary School, Gregory Junior High School and John F. Kennedy Senior High School, Class of 1993. He was an avid sports fan and had a variety of caps representing his favorite football, baseball and other teams as a part of his vast collection of sports memorabilia. Dan kept his love for God, his parents, children, family and friends close to his heart and was never shy about expressing his love for those who meant the world to him. He made sure everyone in his life was okay, making daily calls to see if you were all right, ending each phone call with, "I love you." To know Dan was to love him. Even through his illness, he remained faithful, hopeful and upbeat relying on Jesus Christ to see him through.
