Diane,
I am very saddened by the news of Danny's passing. I only found out about it a few weeks ago through a Brother Martin alumni newsletter. Danny was a dear friend and companion during our time at St. Aloysius and LSUNO. I always thought that there would be time to renew old acquaintances after I retired. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

When I was in the First District back in the 1970s, I remember the respect that we all had for Danny McMullen, who was in Internal Affairs at the time. He was a good man and a great police officer.

To The McMullen Family:
It was certainly a pleasure to have had your dad as an NOPD dispatcher, knowing full well that when he assigned a call, he was doing so with good intentions and the knowledge and experience of an experienced street cop. May the Good Lord watch over and Bless your family.

Danny and family,
I've known you for a very long time and want you to know that my thoughts are with you during this terrible time for you and your family. I know my dad always had respect for your dad during their time on the Police Department. Your dad was one of the true friends that my dad had when friends were needed most.
Please take care. Maybe when I'm in town next time, we can get together.
Your friend,
