April 13, 2015

My deepest sympathy to you Carol and your children on your sudden loss. I have not been in touch with the Elliot family since the sudden loss of my husband, John Fuchs, at the young age of 63 so I understand exactly what you are feeling. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May the memories of all the good times you had help to ease the sorrow in your heart. My life changed so much after my loss and I hope you will encourage all your friends to include you in their interests and think about your interests are and pursue them whether they be volunteer work, cards, travel, or whatever you did before marriage. I have made many friends in the last twenty years and have been happy. I am also fortunate that two of my three children are nearby.
I am so sorry again that I was unable to attend.

Just as many others that are in the "industry" have expressed, we will all miss Darrell. I met him in 1983, and he has always been a "giver" and did it with "passion"--a man that would volunteer his time and take the time in making the extra effort to educate and explain to the rest of us what we didn't know--just to make all of us more informed and smarter--and for our benefit--not his.

I know he lived his personal life the same way--with "passion" and as a "giver"--we will miss him as we know you will--but take comfort in knowing that he was not only a "great guy" to his family, but to all of us. He is in my prayers and we will all miss him--he left this world and did his part to make it a better place.

Carole...Glenda and I are so shocked to hear what Darrell has been going thorugh and know how devastating this has been for you and your children. I am so happy to know that you have children and that all of you can cling together to endure this horrible loss; to think that we met so recently and became so close so quickly. God and your children will be your inner strength but we will always be there
to help as good friends.
