Darrolyn Butler "Deedy" Turner

Darrolyn entered into eternal rest on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at the age of 66. Darrolyn was the devoted wife of, Aaron Turner. She was the daughter of the late Iola Harris Butler and, Harold Butler Sr., daughter in law of the late, Everett, and Rose Marie Turner. Darrolyn was a proud graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High class of 1975 Darrolyn was born in New Orleans and raised in the lower ninth ward. She was a retired employee of Ochsner Hospital Main Campus kidney transplant Department for thirty years. Affectionately known as, "Deedy" to all who knew and loved her, she leaves to cherish her legacy, her devoted husband Aaron, his three daughters, Shona, Ana, Erin, and one son Aaron Jr., two grandchildren, Katrina Woods, and Tierra Stewart; her sisters, Corliss (Jimmie), Joy, Felicia, and her brother Edward, and a host of sisters in law, Melba, Helena, Yolonda Turner and the late Karen Hawk, Zelda Daniels, and Anna Valdery; brothers in law William, Everett, Maurice and Clayton Turner. Darrolyn is also survived by her nieces Katrina (Curtis) Kawan (the late Tyrone) Shawan (Jesse), Colisha and Sabrena, one nephew, Anthony; two uncles, Pastor: Arthur Harris (Ethel ) and Clifton Harris (the late Bernadine); two aunts, Willamae Butler, and Brenda Richard. Devoted cousin of Lucille Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends. Darrolyn is proceeded in by her brother Harold Butler Jr., along with two aunts, Lenell Harris, and Elaine Butler. Darrolyn was a faithful member of Corinne Missionary Baptist Church where she was part of the greeting committee.
