Everything that I know about literature, I learned from her. Everything that I learned about writing....I learned from her. When I sailed through my first 2 English classes in college....it was because of her. She didn't just teach us literature, she enjoyed it with us. Ten years later I still think of asking her about the symbolism in a book that I am reading. She impacted me, all of us, in a permanent way. To her children: I lost my own mother suddenly and unexpectantly four months ago. I understand your pain. Please remember that this pain, this separation from her, is temporary. Life on Earth is temporary, Heaven is eternal. If we live our lives accordingly on Earth, we will see our mothers again, eternally, in Heaven. If you need to talk, or just want to ask a question, or remember funny things about your mom please contact me.

Debbie was one of the most loving and caring people I have ever known. Her sunny smile, her laughter, her wit...and so much more...will never be forgotten.

Our deepest sympathy to Huey, Ethan, and Jushua on this devastating loss. Jay knew Debbie from high school days in New Orleans. And it seems like only yesterday that the four of us were enjoying the French Quarter nightlife at Charlotte Leslie's wedding in 2006. We will cherish our fond memories of Debbie who was truly a kind, caring, and loving friend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Guagliardo family. I absolutely loved Mrs. G, she was one of the few people at that school that I could always count on for having my back and getting me through the many things that I have been through. She is gone, but she will NEVER be forgotten.
