It is with profound sadness that we heard of Debra's passing. She was an integral part of both East Jeffferson Cheerleaders and Dance Team. She touched the life of all of our members with her energy, enthusiasm and love of both cheering and dance. We extend our deepest sympathy to her friends and family.

Tommy,
I was so sorry to hear about Debra. From 1988-2002, Debra was an integral part of the T. H. Harris Cheerleadering program. I loved her, my cheerleaders worshiped her, and my own daughters thought she was wonderful. She was such a strong, positive and creative person. My memories of her are full of smiles, excitement over her innovative routines, her patience, and a relationship that I looked forward to renewing each year. I truly believe that God puts us on this Earth for a specific purpose, and even the smallest encounter makes a difference in life. You may never know about all of the lives Debra touched, but she most assuredly made a difference in mine and will be lovingly remembered.

I am very priveleged to have known Debra for too short of a time. Her strength during her journey through her illness has been an inspiration to me. I am sure she is looking down on all of you, but especially her two girls, right now and will continue to watch over you all. My deepest sympathies to all of you for your great loss. I regret that I won't be able to be with you in person at the services, but I will be there in spirit. May God bless and watch over all of you.

Mr. Tommy, Megan, & Mallory - Debra was the strongest woman I have ever met. I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without her. I am honored to have had her as a coach, role model, and mentor. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and your family. I am disappointed that I will not be able to be at the services, only because I will be at camp in Alabama doing things I would never be able to do without her guidance and instruction. I know she will be watching over us. Thank you for sharing this remarkable woman with all of us! I will forever love her and I am grateful and lucky to have known her.
