1935 - 2021

Delores 'Mama Dee' Davis Richard's journey began on January 15, 1935, in Montz, Louisiana. She was a loving daughter to the late Richard Davis Sr. and Orelia Eugene. She was summoned by the Lord on June 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orelia Eugene and Richard Davis Sr.; husband, Martin Lincoln Richard Sr.; son, Zachary Richard; sisters, Verly Mae Noble, Philonease Brumfield, and Doris Anderson; brothers, Sherman Davis, Joseph Washington, and Leroy Mason Jr.; and grandsons, Germaine Murray and Kentrell Richard. Delores was the mother of the church at Providence Baptist church #2 in Montz, La. She was a devoted wife to the late Martin Lincoln Richard Sr; a loving mother to Martin Richard Jr (Phyllis), the late Zachary Richard, Lisa Richard, Roin Richard Sr., and Bryant Brumfield (Yolanda). Delores leaves loving memories for her siblings, Marion Francis, Orelia Torrence, and Richard Davis Jr (Shannon). She was a devoted grandmother to Johnny Richard (Ashley), Holdine Pablo, Lance Pablo, the late Kentrell Richard, Roin Richard Jr. (Kayla), Lashanda Richard, Ashley Richard, Tiffany Robinson, Brandi Boham, Arlene Jones (Andrew), Appolonia Davis (Joseph), the late Germaine Murray, Jermon Braggs, Breion and Brielle Brumfield. She is survived by 32 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She leaves behind two devoted nieces Martha "Mott" Soule and Eloise Mitchell; her godchild, Stafford Noble; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Members of Providence Baptist Church, Our Lady of Peace, and Destiny Christian Center, family, and friends are invited to attend the homegoing celebration on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church #2, 152 Union St, Montz, LA, 70068. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time. Rev. Kent Fredrick officiating. Interment at St Charles Borromeo in Destrehan.
