Delores Alcee "Dee" Lewis

LEWIS Delores (Dee) Alcee Lewis entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Devoted wife of Wilbert Lewis, Sr. Beloved mother of Lydia (Willie), Jason (Debra), Wilbert, Jr. (Rene), Darryl (Joycelyn), Lance, Dana (Floyd), Gary and the late Eric Lewis. Daughter of the late Herman and Eva Alcee. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 sisters, 5 brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to all her care givers and nurse Zina Allen. Age 71 years, a native of Paincourtville, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. for over 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church, First Agape Christian Outreach Ministries, Second Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Uptown Graphic, New Look Walls I, Ze'us Government, Paragon System of Georgia, MacArthur Primary Care Center and Dr. Cherie M. Drez Office, Ochsner Medical Center and Nurses of the 4th floor, and Omni Home Care are invited to attend the funeral service at Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 3317 Toledano St., New Orleans, La., on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Kenneth Thompson Pastor. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
