Don is my first cousin, once removed, son of my beloved cousin Winnie Jones Moffatt. My Prayers are being offered that: May our Blessed Lord watch over my grieving loved ones and help them endure this great loss. Don loved his great family and contributed a loving entry into our Jones book. He ordered more of our books than any other relative. My only relief is that Winnie just told me on the phone that Don would sit at night and read to his children from our book about his beloved Jones relatives. An expression of love and grief to his relatives would create another book. Please Pray for his dear ones that are left behind and must wait until we can meet with him again. We all loved him dearly. Don was nothing but generous to us. On a trip to New Orleans, our car broke down on a Saturday. Don called his mechanic for us- saving us a lot of time and energy. I'm sure this is only one of a million stories of how Don reached out and touched people's lives. Our deepest sympathies to the entire family. Michael and Jennifer Marchitelli

I have been working for Selct Properties a little over 3 months and never got the previlage to meet Mr. Moffatt. I have heard nothing but good things about him and the ladies in my office spoke highly of him too. My best to everyone. They say the the good die young. This must hold true for Mr. Moffatt.

I am lucky enough to be one of the Select family members and have been for the past 14 or so years. Don believed in me and encouraged me in so many ways. He was a great boss but most importantly a really good person. I will miss the one answer he always gave when asked "How are you, Don?" the answer "Just dandy!" I was lucky to have known him! My prayers are with the Moffatt family.

When I started school at Jefferson Jr. High I realized that my older cousins and sister had already given the Moffatt name a good reputation. My first day I was asked if I was related to Carol, Don and Debbie. When I said yes to all three, I was suddenly the teacher's pet! I have always idolized you. You are brilliant in business, devoted to your family, generous, charismatic and good looking. Not many people are blessed with what you have. Our family will feel very deeply your untimely loss.

I'm not sure you remember me. I am Jacques Sanborn's former wife. I thought the world of Don and was so saddened to hear of his death. My prayers and thoughts are with you, The Moffatt Family. I worked for Don and Rodney LeBlanc when I was fresh out of college from 1979 - 1981. I then watched him at a distance through the last 20+ years as I made my way from New Orleans and on to New York City for 13 years before returning to Louisiana a few years ago. He was a remarkable business man and just a good, good man. I credit him with assisting me to jump start my business career. Again, my prayers are with you.

The passing of Don Moffatt was, indeed, shocking and saddening news. I had the privilege of knowing Don during the two years I worked for Select. Don was a vibrant and charismatic person who will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
You, the family, and Don's friends will be in my thoughts.
