Doris Koenig Cassidey

CASSIDEY Doris Koenig Cassidey, age 84, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Monday, April 23, 2012 in Slidell, LA. Beloved wife of the late Jerome H. Cassidey, Sr., and daughter of the late John and Nettie Koenig. Doris was the devoted and loving mother of Jerome H. Cassidey, Jr., (Niki), Cheryl A. Cassidey, and the late John D. Cassidey. She was the proud grandmother of Sara Cassidey. Emmett Johnson, Cheryl Johnson and Doris Johnson. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: William, Charles, KC, Jazmin, Rosaree, Robert, and Jordan, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Doris was a native and long time resident of New Orleans. In addition to being a wife, mother, and homemaker, she was employed over the years by the New Orleans Municipal Employees Credit Union, the New Orleans Board of Liquidation, and the New Orleans Firemen's Federal Credit Union.
