Michelle,
I am very sorry for your loss. I didn't realize your mom was at Summerville. I'm sure I saw her several times when I visited my MIL, but did not make the connection. I will keep you and your family in my prayers during this difficult time.

The world would be a better place if more people were like Dottie Bertram. She was a Christian woman, proud to be patriotic, loyal wife, loving mother and hard working woman.

I knew Dottie from Summerville, when my Dad lived there (Mr. Hebert). She was one of my Dad's smoking buddies. She was such a joy and good natured. Dottie never missed chance to say "Hello" to everyone who came her way. She will be sadly missed.
My deepest sympathy to her family.

We have been separated by time and distance for many years, but we are blessed to have nothing but fond memories of Aunt Dottie. Christmas's at Aunt Shirley's with all the families together were some of our most memorable times. Our prayers are with all whose lives she touched and who will all miss her.
Love to all, Mary Ann, Angie, Susan, and Bobby

Ms. Dottie touched the hearts of all those who knew her at Summerville. She had a way of making you smile; whether it was asking for another cup of coffee in the dining room, one more cookie during a social, or a push to the patio. She had one saying that will forever stick out in my mind...."I know you and that makes my day." Well, its time that the saying is flipped around..."I knew her and that makes my day." What a special lady and a wonderful family. I am glad that I had the opportunity to share in her life.
